Our program is designed for students entering Kindergarten through 6th grade. Sessions are grouped by similar reading levels to ensure every child receives instruction at the right pace.
All instruction follows the Florida B.E.S.T. (Benchmarks for Excellent Student Thinking) Standards for English Language Arts. Our approach is rooted in the Science of Reading and structured literacy practices endorsed by the Florida Department of Education.
Our instructor holds specialized literacy training and experience with evidence-based reading instruction. They are well-versed in structured literacy, phonics-based approaches, and differentiated instruction strategies.
Absolutely. Our environment is intentionally calm, supportive, and non-judgmental. With only 4 students per session, every child gets individual attention. We build confidence through encouragement and celebrate progress at every level.
This time allows students to settle in, choose books that interest them from our curated library, and enjoy a light snack and water. It creates a relaxed transition into learning and builds positive associations with reading.
Yes. We conduct regular progress monitoring aligned with Florida reading benchmarks. Parents receive updates on their child's growth areas and accomplishments throughout the program.
The Reading Club is a small group experience (4 students max) following a structured rotation of activities over 90 minutes. 1:1 Tutoring offers fully individualized, hour-long sessions tailored specifically to your child's needs and schedule.
If you need to withdraw before the program begins, we offer a full refund. Once sessions have started, partial refunds may be available on a case-by-case basis. Please reach out to discuss your situation -- we're understanding and flexible.
Just themselves and a positive attitude! We provide all materials, books, snacks, and water. If your child has a favorite book they'd like to share, they're welcome to bring it along.
If your child benefits from peer interaction and is looking for consistent summer reading practice, the Reading Club is a great fit. If your child needs intensive, targeted support for specific reading challenges, 1:1 Tutoring allows us to focus entirely on their individual needs.
